INVAMAT 611 THERMAL-EXPANDING FIREPROOF  MASTIC

to seal through holes in brick, concrete, foam concrete and other non-combustible materials to prevent fire from entering through the barrier. Application: filling the free space in holes made in the barriers, after laying cables (single or harnesses), pipes from combustible materials, as well as metal pipes.

RECOMMENDED GEOMETRIC RATIOS:

  1. The maximum hole diameter is 200 mm (or the maximum area is 300 cm²);
  2. The maximum diameter of pipes made of non-combustible materials is 50 mm;
  3. The maximum filling (in% of the hole area) is 60.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE:

Clean the hole of dust and dirt.

Fill the free space of the hole, including the gaps between the cables, with INVAMAT-611 mastic. The depth of filling with mastic is 40±5 mm on each side. (If the barrier thickness is more than 100 mm, to save the mastic, the inside of the hole can be filled with «Rockwool» mineral wool). Level the sealing surface with a spatula until the mastic dries. To improve the plasticity when leveling, wet the mastic surface with water.

The main performance characteristics are reached after 48 hours.

The carbon nanobodies in the mastic composition provide a catalytic effect of increasing intumescent strength and allow a high-strength layer of carbonized foam that provides the necessary fire resistance of cable penetrations through the walls and guarantees reliable fire protection of the cables.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION OF INVAMAT 611 THERMAL eXPANDING MASTICS AND THE PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Applicatons of INVAMAT 611 fireproof mastic:

  • Sealing of horizontal and vertical through holes with a maximum Ǿ200 mm and S 300 cm² for universal penetrations of the harness or single cables in building structures made of cellular concrete, brick, concrete and other non-combustible materials.
  • Sealing of pipe penetrations, protection of metal and plastic pipelines with Ǿ up to 50 mm.
  • Filling cracks and seams of fireproof precast and monolithic structures.
  • Sealing joints of flame retardant products.

The effect of using INVAMAT 611 mastic for sealing of cable penetrations is achieved due to formation of a foamed structure that limits the spread of fire, toxic and corrosive combustion products.

ADVANTAGES OF FIREPROOF MASTIC

In addition, the installation of cable penetrations with mastic INVAMAT 611 does not require special equipment and high qualification of personnel. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE APPLICATION OF UNIVERSAL CABLE PENETRATION

Composed of INVAMAT 611  thermal expanding fireproof mastic and heat-insulating plates made of non-combustible «ROCKWOOL» mineral wool (density from 100 kg/m3).

PURPOSE

  1. Sealing of through holes for cable penetrations, both single and harnesses. Sealing of penetrations.
  2. Insulation of pipes from combustible materials up to 50 mm in diameter.
  3. Insulation of metal pipes.

THE USE

  1. For sealing through penetrations up to 200 mm in diameter or up to 300 cm² in area.
  2. In the barriers of brick, concrete, foam concrete and other non-combustible construction materials.

PROPERTIES

  1. It swells, increasing in volume under the influence of fire.
  2. Heat resistant. Does not burn. Do not let smoke, gas, water to penetrate.
  3. Does not contain halogens and solvents. Has no smell.

APPLICATION

  1. Clean the hole.
  2. Wrap the cables in non-combustible «Rockwool» mineral wool (density from 100 kg/cm3), leaving 40 mm to the edges of the hole in the barrier free.
  3. Carefully fill all remaining space from the edge of the hole to the mineral wool, including gaps between the cables, with INVAMAT 611. The depth of filling with mastic is 40±5 mm on each side.
  4. Level the sealing surface with a spatula until the mastic dries. To improve the plasticity when leveling, wet the mastic surface with water.
  5. The seal acquires main performance characteristics after 48 hours.

IT IS PROHIBITED TO

  1. Use on surfaces immersed in water.
  2. Use with construction materials that emit oils, plasticizers, solvents (wood with impregnation, oil-based sealants, vulcanised rubber, etc.).

  1. Store only in the original packaging in a dry place at from +5 °C to +30 °C.
