INVAMAT RTV 777 Oil-and-Gasoline Resistant Silicon Sealant
INVAMAT RTV 777 oil-and-gasoline resistant silicon sealant is a single-component acid-cured sealant. Ideal for sealing seams, compounds exposed to long-term high temperatures of up to +250°С, such as in engines and furnaces. Applicable to assemble and seal crankcase engines. Sealing the equipment operating in vibration conditions, as well as to protect it from moisture. Resistant to UV radiation, extreme temperature changes, oils and gasoline.
Suitable for unprofessional use. Cures at room temperature under the effect of atmospheric humidity, results in long-term elastic silicone rubber.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- No shrinkage
- Sealant is applicable at low (+5 °C) and at high temperatures (+40 °С)
- Elastic at low (-40 °С) and high (+250 °С) temperatures
- Fast curing
- High adhesive strength when applying to non-porous surfaces
- Easy to apply
- Resistant to temperatures up to +250 °C, with temporary temperature fluctuations — up to +275 °C.
Application:
Wide range of applications: sealing joints exposed to prolonged high temperatures, as well as movable joints. Ideal for repairing four-, two-wheeled motor vehicles, as well as building stoves and furnaces. Sealing threaded joints in cold, hot water and heating pipelines.
Adhesion:
INVAMAT RTV 777 oil-and-gasoline resistant silicon sealant has a high degree of adhesion without primer with most non-porous surfaces: glass, tile, ceramic, enamel, clinker, metals such as: aluminum, steel, zinc, and copper, with impregnated, varnished or painted wood; with some types of plastic.
Users can also conduct their own experiments due to the variety of materials, especially when using plastic.
In many cases, the adhesion quality can be improved by pre-treating the surface with a primer.
Restriction of use:
Not recommended to use for work with double-glazed windows.
Not recommended for use with metals such as lead, brass, due to corrosion.
Incompatible with alkaline substrates such as marble, concrete, fiber cement and lime, since the product releases acetic acid during curing.
Preparation for use:
Surfaces for sealant application must be clean, dry and free of any loose materials, dust, dirt, rust, oil, or other contaminants. Non-porous surfaces must be cleaned with a solvent and wiped with a clean cotton cloth. Remove solvent with a clean, dry cloth before it evaporates.
It is recommended to cover areas adjacent to the seam with masking tapes to prevent substrate contamination and to ensure a neat sealant line. Masking tape should be removed immediately after smoothing the sealant.

The time required for complete curing can be extended at low temperatures, low humidity, increasing film thickness or with a low air volume.
If possible, avoid the use of processing agents. Otherwise, use water or a dilute solution with a small amount of neutral soap or alcohol in water in a moderate volume.
PRECAUTIONS:
If uncured silicone rubber gets into the eyes or mucous membranes, wash it with water to avoid irritation. Cured silicone rubber is safe for health.
Keep out of reach of children.
